Christmas Gift Basket

Hello everyone! Here is a great idea for a Christmas date night or a simple gift for a friend. It’s filled with sweets and entertainment and very thoughtful. It’s also super simple to put together and affordable. Here are the things you’ll need to make a basket like the one above: a basket (size depends on how much you’ll put in it), a big red bow, some tissue paper, two small bags, hot chocolate, marshmallows, popcorn, peppermint Hershey’s kisses, Christmas tree shaped Reese’s, napkins, a plastic bag, movies, candy canes, and a little bag of Christmas cookies (I bought these at a Boudin’s restaurant).

To start off, take your basket (I purchased mine at Target) and put your big red bow on the front. Next stuff some tissue paper inside and let most of it come out of the back of the basket. This makes the basket look super festive and it’s these little details that make it an especially nice gift. I then took my little plastic bag and put a bunch of little marshmallows inside. This bag then went into my decorated Christmas bag shown in the front. Also in this bag I put a few hot chocolate mixes. I also included some candy canes that I personally love to put in my hot chocolate during the holidays. (Try adding some whipped cream and cinnamon with the marshmallows and candy canes in your hot chocolate, you won’t regret it). Then in my second decorated Christmas bag I put a bunch of peppermint Hershey’s kisses along with the Christmas tree shaped Reese’s (my boyfriend loves Reese’s, that’s why I included them but any other candy would be just as cute). Next I put in a bag of cookies decorated like reindeer and gingerbread men. You can buy these like I did or even make your own cookies! Then I put in some bags of popcorn and small festive napkins. Lastly, I took my three movies and stuck them behind everything else. (I included a Christmas movie (The Holiday), a romantic comedy (About Time, which is my absolute favorite movie), and an old classic (The Back to the Future trilogy).

So this is everything that makes up this cute Christmas gift. It makes for such a fun evening and is a nice surprise for whoever you’re giving it to. I hope you all found this helpful and useful for the holiday season! Merry Christmas! 🙂
