Wanted to make a quick post about something I just whipped up. I’ve recently been LOVING acai bowls, but unfortunately they can get a little pricey. I decided to make my own for dinner tonight. I didn’t have any acai so I simply made my own blend. I started with the blend as a base. I didn’t measure anything, just added ingredients as needed.
Blend: 1 banana, a couple handfuls of blueberries, Honey Mango Greek yogurt (comes with 8 oz.), rice milk, a spoonful of honey, 4 or 5 strawberries, 2 dates, and a lot of ice
I put the blend in a bowl and started to cut up the toppings.
Toppings: Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, granola, coconut shavings (can be found at Trader Joe’s), and honey.
The toppings with the blend is absolutely delicious and totally healthy! The tartness of the strawberries is a perfect mix with the sweetness of the honey and coconut. It surprisingly doesn’t take that long to make and it’s the perfect summer snack.
