For the daytime summer weather I like my makeup to be as fresh and simple as possible. I use a lot of nude and natural tones for eyeshadow and on occasion I will do this winged eyeliner. After much practice, I think I have mastered the winged eyeliner! This is a great simple look for the summer and takes no effort at all. Here I have listed the steps on how to create this look:
1. First I took eyeshadow colors from the Naked 2 palette after applying some eyeshadow primer to my lids. This palette has amazing natural colors that are great for the daytime. I simply applied some of the Bootycall (left middle) shadow to my finger and brushed that across my lid. The color is so light that it doesn’t need much blending. It makes your eyes look awake and bright and contrasts nicely with the black eyeliner.
2. I took the shade YDK (right middle) on my finger and brushed that on the outer corner of my lid and blended it to the middle. I made sure the two shades made a nice gradient across my lid. After you do this, you’re done with the eyeshadow!
3. I took the Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner in black and started with my winged eyeliner. I didn’t want this to be an extremely dramatic line, so I made sure it was thickest at the end and got skinnier as it got closer to the inner corner. I finished the line at about the middle of my lid. I notice with the shape of my eye it looks better to create it this way and not let it continue all the way to the inner corner. **If you would like to see how I create my winged eyeliner, please comment or like this post!**
4. Lastly, I applied a couple coats of the Voluminous waterproof mascara to my lashes and curled them.
This is a very easy and quick makeup look. I love how simple it is for the summer since it’s not good to pack on a ton of makeup in the heat. I know some would not stop here and go on to fill in their eyebrows, but I’m not actually one to do that. I’ve never done my eyebrows and I think it’s better to have minimal makeup on during this season. If you have any questions about this look or the products, don’t hesitate to comment or contact me!
