Hey lovelies! So today I thought I’d post about something a little on the negative side. These are products I regret buying. As for now, there are only two but I think some points are worth mentioning to you guys. So let’s jump right in:
First is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. If you guys have been following me for a while, you know I love the Age Rewind line. I’ve always had pretty good luck with it…up until this product. I still love these and will continue to use them, but in a different shade. This one is specifically the brightener/illuminator. I think it might be simply my skin tone that this does not work with. I was hoping it would give me and even better under eye brightness than the other tones. However, the pinkness just does not work with my skin and I’ve only used it a couple time. If you have paler skin than I do, I’m sure this would work better. Can’t help but feel a little disappointed…
The second and final product is the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (white). I honestly love white eyeliner so much and it really helps to open up your eyes. When initially applied, this product isn’t the worst. It’s the wear of a few hours that make this product unusable. After a while, it gets very bunched up in certain spots and looks quite messy, as if you just did a bad job applying it. One bad thing about applying it is that one wrong move of your hand and this stuff gets all over your lashes. I usually apply this in my waterline and I can never avoid getting it all over my bottom lashes no matter how careful or gentle I am. The chalkiness is just impossible for a perfect application. I realize that this is also to be used as an eyeshadow, so the thickness of the applicator might work better for that. All in all, this is just another disappointing product. Maybe an eye pencil would work better for what I need it more? Let me know!
What do you guys think about these products? Have you had any luck with them, or do you have the same issues as I do? Comment down below!
By the way, both of these products can be found at Target if you want to try them out.
