My Wishlist: Boohoo.com (Homecoming Edition)

Hi loves! I thought it was about time for another My Wishlist post. As usual, I have been looking through another online site in search of the best clothes for any occasion. Boohoo.com has clothes for whatever event you have coming up, whether that be a night out, school, or even going to the beach!

For this post though, I’d like to focus on school life, specifically Homecoming season! It’s been a few years since I’ve gone to a high school dance, let alone Homecoming. It was an event I looked forward to so much, but since I went to a private high school, there were MANY dress code rules. We had to wear long dresses instead of cute, casual, and short ones that are usually worn for Homecoming, so finding a dress wasn’t the easiest thing.

So this post is for those of you who are attending Homecoming soon and are looking for a cheap place to buy a dress, while still being fashion forward! Whether you want a short, playful dress, or a long flowing maxi dress, keep reading for some great options! I have provided all of the links to these dresses below the photos. *All of these photos are taken from Boohoo.com.*

Poppy Choker Strappy Skater Dress

This first dress is the perfect length for Homecoming in my opinion. It has a great silhouette and would flatter so many body shapes. The color is also gorgeous and is a great transition color from summer to fall. It isn’t super bright, but it’s still a pastel for the changing seasons. I’m also in love with this new built in choker trend. Chokers have made a huge comeback in fashion lately, and I’m obsessed with it! I love how it attaches to the back, as you can see in the right photo. It gives it such a unique and edgy look! With a simple dress like this, you can play up the hair, makeup, and shoes! This dress also comes in red and black, if you’re more into those colors. It goes for $35 on Boohoo!

Natasha Strappy Floral Maxi Dress

Want to go a little more formal or elegant? This is the dress for you! I actually wore a dress similar to this my sophomore year of high school when the rules weren’t as strict. This one has a beautiful plunging neckline and very skinny straps that cross over on the back. I love how it is a short dress and has the sheer fabric over it. It gives such a cool effect and you can still see your legs. It is a casual look, but technically is a maxi dress. I’m in love with the floral pattern on the black; it really makes them pop and gives that graphic look. Dress it down with some sunglasses for a walk downtown or throw on some black heels to wear this at Homecoming! Better yet, this dress goes for $40 on Boohoo!

Caitlin Pleated Kimono Sleeve Skater Dress

This gorgeous blush colored dress is perfect if you also go to a private high school. Most likely, you have a strict dress code just like I did. But I’m sure this dress could get you past the dean with ruler measuring everyone’s dresses (been there, done that). This dress is gorgeous though, even though it is a little more conservative. You can still find ways to look beautiful even if you have to cover up. This is a great cut that will flatter you while also being school appropriate. It cinches at the waist and looks flowy on the top and bottom. The color is so feminine and the fabric is extremely glamorous! This is another pieces where you could dress up your hair, makeup, and accessories. It comes in this blush color, black, or sand (which looks beige). This dress is $35 on the site.

Jessica Floral Off the Shoulder Maxi Dress

Again, if you want to dress up a little more for Homecoming, here is another great option. The cut initially drew my eye to this dress. The off the shoulder look has also been very in style lately and it’s so feminine and flattering. The neckline is so simple but when you add the off the shoulder look, it really dresses it up. I then started looking at the fabric, and while this would be great for the spring, I think it could work for the fall as well. The branches in the pattern give it a very autumn-like feel. I love how Boohoo styled this dress, with the simple necklace and hair. It’s exactly how I would style it as well; not overpowering and doesn’t take away from the beautiful design of the dress. This goes for $44 on Boohoo.

Sia Ruffle Bandeau Slip Front Maxi

Last but not least, this casual but elegant dress would be perfect for a bohemian look at Homecoming. The color again, is perfect for the autumn season coming up. I love how it is another off the shoulder cut, which gives an effortless yet put together outfit. The slit in the side gives it a more casual vibe and is a detail I wish my school would have allowed, because I definitely would have worn this! I love how they put a ton of bracelets on the model with this dress. It’s a great opportunity to wear a statement necklace or some gorgeous heels. The dress comes in this light beige color, black, or an orange/red (chestnut) color. It sells for only $30 on Boohoo!

Hope you guys enjoyed this My Wishlist post! Boohoo.com is a site I found on YouTube from a lot of the fashion/beauty gurus I watch. I recently ordered a few things from the site and I must say everything has a great price! I will update you on quality and what I think overall of the products from Boohoo. As of now, I love it and I think it’s a great place to online shop. Hope all of you are enjoying school if you started already and are looking forward to fun events like Homecoming! ❤
