A California December OOTD!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to the new year! Life has been busy as always and I’m very excited for what 2017 will bring (including a trip to Europe!) I would love to do a “what I got for christmas” post very soon and the following OOTD includes many things I received this Christmas. I am extremely grateful for everything I was given and Santa did a very, very good job this year! So let’s jump right on in to the OOTD! (Almost all of these pieces can be found at Melrose in the O.C. unless otherwise stated).

So I’ll start off by going piece to piece. The t-shirt I am wearing is a lovely gray color with green undertones. It’s very comfortable and casual and is actually tied at the side to give it a bit more style. It’s a common thing to do with any t-shirt but it was actually sewn this way, which is super convenient.

Next, my absolute favorite part of this outfit: the jacket! I don’t own anything like this and I absolutely fell in love with it when I tried it on. The sleeves have a ribbed pattern and the rest of it is suede. The inside is a cream colored fur texture, which folds out as shown in the photo above. It’s very comfortable and warm. It probably wouldn’t work for a place that actually gets cold, but it’s perfect for the chilly and sometimes windy SoCal weather.

I am also wearing a simple crystal necklace with a long gold chain. I’ve been wearing this everyday because it goes with every single outfit!

These jeans have also been my newest obsession. I love wearing black and having jeans with holes in them! They’re just so comfortable and so fashionable. These amazing jeans can be paired with so many tops and shoes. The options are endless and this is one of my favorite outfits with them! In this photo you can also see my black purse I carry with me all the time! It’s from Nordstrom and the pink poof is from Brandy Melville and I believe was $6!

The jeans are cut off at the ankles and have frayed edges, which makes them perfect for ankle boots. These are my classic black boots that I got from H&M years ago. I’ve actually been looking to replace them for newer ones since I wear the heck out of these!

One of the major reasons I love this look so much is that its so effortless. I just threw on some jeans and a t-shirt and dressed it up with a nice jacket, boots, and a necklace. Sometimes even the simplest of pieces can be dressed up or even down if you like!

All of these photos were taken in Laguna Beach, one of my favorite spots, by the lifeguard tower. Also, I think this is my first OOTD with my short hair! Hope you guys like it, it’s really been a burden off my shoulder (literally and figuratively, lol). Let me know if you have any questions about these pieces by commenting down below! I love you guys’ feedback! Happy Holidays everyone!
