Hello lovelies! I really love writing about makeup and creating new looks for you. So today I’m bringing you another look that is perfect for the holiday season! As you can tell from some of my previous makeup posts, I tend to lean more towards the matte shades than any glittery ones. Although I love to throw in a little glitter once in a while, I love a good ol’ matte shade and a natural yet beautiful style. That’s what I went for with this makeup when it came to the eyes. Simple and soft eyes so the lip could then stand out!
For the eyes, I used three shades from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, which has a wide array of pink tones that are matte and shimmery. I started with a fluffy brush from Morphe and went into the shade “Limit” for my crease color. This is one of my favorite shades for the crease, and I’ve almost hit pan! I then used the larger end of the brush that came with the palette and dipped into “Nooner.” I placed this on the outer corner of my eye and brought it in until it reached the halfway point of my lid. Then, simply with my finger, I took “Liar” and placed that from the middle of my lid to the inner corner, covering the space that didn’t have any eyeshadow on it yet. To add a little something, I took a detail brush and placed “Nooner” on the outer half of my lower lash line and “Liar” on the inner half. And of course for my wing, I used my typical Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black and the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (also the waterproof version).
As for the lips, I went super bold as mentioned before! I’ve worn this color for a blog post before, but it really is perfect for the Christmas season so I had to wear it again. This is the Kylie/Koko Collection from Kylie Cosmetics in the shade “Gorg.” It’s a matte liquid lipstick and applies seamlessly! I actually have an entire post on it here, if you think it’d make for a good Christmas gift and want to know more!
When it came to skin, I completed my normal routine: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder, Laura Mercier Bronzer, Nars blush in “Orgasm,” and the Becca x Jaclyn Hill highlighter in “Champagne Pop.” I placed Champagne Pop on the high point under my eyebrow, in my inner corners, and at the tip of my nose! I seriously am in love with that highlighter!
Lastly, for eyebrows I again used my usual go to product: the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe.
This look was super easy to put together and actually took less time than most looks, especially when it came to the eyeshadow. I’m not sure the Naked 3 palette got the best reviews, but I honestly think it’s very easy to use and all of the colors match so well together! Let me know what you think about this palette and the look as a whole! Do you have a favorite eyeshadow palette that you absolutely need in your life?
