Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! The rain has finally gone and the sun has decided to stay. I can’t tell you how happy I am about this, especially because Orange County is most fun in the spring/summertime. There’s so much to do from county fairs, to the beach, to bonfires during warm nights. It’s the best place to be when the palms are thriving and everything is green. To celebrate the warm days ahead, today’s post will be an OOTD. Let’s get into it!
South Orange County is full of hidden gems wherever you look. As long as you’re willing to look for those special places. However, it’s definitely not hard to find palm trees wherever you go. They made for the perfect backdrop for this shoot. Even though the sun has been shining, days have still been windy. If you’re planning on taking a trip down here, be sure to pack a pair of jeans and a light sweater. For this specific look, I went for my classic distressed denim (always my #1 pick for jeans). I bought these from the brand Just Black at Melrose in the O.C. I always recommend this denim brand because they can stretch quite a bit and are simply more comfortable than other jeans I’ve worn.
As for the top, it’s been my new favorite look. I bought this black spaghetti strap top from Nordstrom, and I’ve mentioned it in a previous post. You can check it out in my Throwing it Back to the 2000’s OOTD. There’s tons of different color options with this top, so definitely check it out here on the Nordstrom website. The cut is beautifully feminine and the frills along the neckline are my favorite part. To transition from winter to spring, I decided to wear this top on it’s own with a corduroy jacket on top. I’m a huge fan of a black blouse with muted pink thrown on top. There’s something so beautiful about that combination.
Corduroy is normally a fairly thick material, but this pink jacket is much thinner and very comfortable to wear. A jacket like this is perfect for the morning when it’s a bit chillier, but easy to take off when it warms up in the afternoon. There are also buttons at the center of each sleeve, so they can easily be rolled up for a short sleeve look. I love a piece that is adjustable and can be changed depending on where you’re going.
As for shoes, sandals can finally be worn again! I opted for my leopard sandals, which accented the muted pink very well. They’re a very laid back pair of shoes that are perfect for a walk along the beach in this look. You can find similar leopard sandals at Tilly’s, LuLu’s, and even Target! Leopard and snake print has been such a huge trend this season, and I’m here for it! I also have my Tiffany’s pink heart necklace on, which is very simple and dainty. I tend to prefer jewelry that is on the minimalist side and silver. Of course, I have a scrunchy on my wrist as well. I have one of these on me almost everyday, and I get them at Urban Outfitters (shop their scrunchies here).
I’m so excited that Spring has sprung and summer is on it’s way! Get ready for tons of summer posts coming on the blog! Lovely look! I love the jacket, I think this kind of jackets are really versatile! And enjoy some spring ☀️
Girl, I need the name of your photographer!!! These look like they are straight out of a lifestyle magazine!!!
I wish Spring here was warm enough for a light jacket but alas it is still woolly hats and thick winter coats for the meantime. There is some sun during the day but it is still freezing cold in the mornings and evenings. I cannot wait to wear cute outfits again. xx
