Happy Wednesday everyone! We’re halfway through the week and we’re still hustling! So much has been happening recently in my life, both professionally and personally. I have to remind myself that it’s all good things whenever I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. Everything ends up for the greater good, so I’ve been trying to keep this in mind as things come into my life. Anyways, I’m happy that through all these exciting things, I’ve been able to post twice a week on this blog consistently and hope you all have been enjoying the content! Of course, let me know below in the comments what kinds of posts you’d like to see from me.
Throughout the last week, I’ve attempted to take a photo of my outfits everyday. So for today’s post, I wanted to do my outfits of the week and keep it completely real! Some days I have lots of plans around Orange County, and others are spent in my comfy yoga pants blogging, job searching, or working on Instagram. I have four outfits for this post, since the other three days (as I mentioned above) were spent working in my lazy and “not meant for the blog” type of looks. So let’s get right into my outfits of the week (for both lazy days and when you have exciting plans!)
Monday: Shopping for Birthday Gifts
Oh Mondays, you are so insanely bittersweet. A time to reset and look forward to new things in the coming week, while also being so overwhelming with so many things to check off my to-do list. For this particular Monday, I planned to shop around downtown to find a beautiful birthday gift for one of my friends. Of course, I ended up at my favorite shop Melrose in the O.C. Mondays always tend to be and errands type of day for me. Whether that’s doing something I’ve been holding off on for a while or taking quick trips to Target!
I featured this outfit on my Instagram the other day and in my last blog post: Springtime in South Orange County OOTD!, and you all have been loving this muted pink jacket!! I have to say, it’s been one of my favorites for this new spring season as well. It’s light and airy and perfect for a walk by the beach. I also wore one of my favorite black lacy tops from Nordstrom. As for jeans, I wore this super distressed pair with a light wash. I rarely wear light wash jeans, but I love how it compliments the dark top. Finally for shoes, you all know I’ve been obsessed with leopard print this season, so of course I wore my go-to animal print sandals! Such a casual yet put together look, perfect for a Monday to get things done like a GIRLBOSS!
Tuesday: Self-Care & Getting Ish Done!
Alright, so all of you on the blog have never seen me in this state before. But this is a REAL week in my life, so let’s keep this thing authentic. A lot of days you can find me in Zella yoga pants from Nordstrom (which in my opinion, are more comfortable than LuLu Lemons) and a comfy tee. This Los Angeles t-shirt can be found at Brandy Melville. Such a simple graphic and extra cozy! You also won’t find me wearing any shoes around the house because…why?
I’ve been trying to be more and more consistent with face masks. Check out my February 2019 Skincare Favorites for Acne Prone Skin! for lots of great face mask options! On this day, I used the Lush “Mask of Magnaminty” and it’s definitely a winner in my book. I’ll keep it on while I’m working on my computer or editing photos. I’m always left feeling amazing and so clean after this face mask!
Wednesday: Workout Kinda Day
I’ll be honest, I’ve been extremely consistent with the gym and I try to go everyday. On this day, I woke up, ate a small breakfast, waited a bit to digest and headed off to the gym. I’ve been focusing on cardio recently (upping it to 40 minutes with weights afterwards) and I’m excited to see my progress. I’ve been stuck at a plateau recently and I’m so motivated to get past it!
Thursday: Another Work Day
Thursdays are usually spent preparing Friday blog posts. I will try to split up blog posts between a couple of days, but sometimes I can finish them within one day. Of course, I had to get my time in at the gym too!
Friday: Brunching the Morning Away
My apologies for the inconsistency in lighting, but I took these photos early in the morning. On this day, I had a brunch date planned. It was a much chillier morning than expected, so I threw on one of my favorite oversized knit sweaters. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen this sweater on a few different occasions. I love the distressed look and color of it so much! (P.S. Please excuse the taped up plastic on my door, my bathroom is getting demolished!)
Going with the animal print theme, I’m wearing high waisted Jamie jeans from TopShop that have an amazing leopard design down the leg. You can shop these jeans at Nordstrom Rack. As for shoes, I’m wearing my strappy neutral heels from Steve Madden. While these honestly aren’t the most comfortable shoes, they’re great for brunch since you won’t be walking too much. Plus, I love the tiny heel and strap around the ankle! Beauty is pain, people!
Saturday: Beach Runs & Summer Bods
Saturday morning I spent a lot of time on cardio again. There is a fabulous beach trail close to my house that I love running on. I ended up running a few miles and relaxing on the sand for a little while afterward. It was a gorgeous sunny day, so I decided to head home to finish some work on the blog and actually head back to the beach once everything was completed. Yes, I’m a beach addict and yes I got a bit sunburned but your girl needed a good dose of Vitamin D! We’ve been having some warm days and I’m completely ready for summer!
Sunday: San Diego Bound!
On Sunday, I was headed to see a good friend down in San Diego. I love trips to San Diego, and the drive is always very pleasant. Sunday was very sunny (LOL) but still a bit windy. I wanted something very spring inspired but something I wouldn’t freeze in. I threw on a pair of high waisted jeans and a flowy white blouse. I honestly hadn’t worn this top in a while and I forgot how much I love it! I tucked it into my high waisted jeans and put on a belt with a (you guessed it) LEOPARD PRINT PATTERN! Are you tired of the animal print yet? I also decided to wear my black studded Rebecca Minkoff mules. Mules have been another go-to look for me within the past 8 months and I’m still not tired of them!
I hope you guys enjoyed some of these outfits from a week in my life! I normally don’t take blog photos with my phone, but I figured it was the most authentic and genuine way to create this post! Let me know if you’d like to see more of these kinds of posts (which would actually have seven different outfits, LOL). Which one was your favorite?? Comment down below & I’ll talk to you all very soon! xx
