Where I've Been & The Retro Bag

Hey everyone! Wow, it’s been a bit since I’ve written a new post. My life has been extremely hectic lately in so many different ways. I’ve mentioned this a few times on my Instagram stories, but I started a new job! As the marketing manager for one of my favorite clothing stores, I run their social media, schedule models, conduct and shoot for photoshoots, design flyers, and build their online site. It’s an extremely versatile job and I’ve been absolutely loving it! I feel like I finally found the career I’m meant for and somewhere I’m happy, which is so different from my last job experience. I work full time, so unfortunately my posts on this blog have been lacking. I’ve also had someone new in my life, so I’ve been spending time with him either at the beach, the mall, or completely new places!

My life has become incredibly busy (and fun), which is how I prefer it! However, my love for this blog and content creating hasn’t diminished and I’m trying to find ways to time manage everything at once. Life has been full of ups and downs after graduating from college and I’m learning more about myself and those around me everyday. There’s days where I feel like I have it all together and days where I have no idea what I’m doing or feeling like I’m failing. However, the more people I talk to, the more I’m realizing that this is so normal. No one said this would be easy (cue Coldplay song), but at the end of the day I’m moving towards a life I want and doing more of the things I love. Some of those being this blog, connecting with you guys, and simply being creative.

I’ve also gotten back into the gym! About six months ago, I was going so consistently and my body was looking better than it ever had before. The past few months, I’ve really been slacking in the workout department and just not feeling like myself. I wasn’t looking or feeling as good as when I was working out. So this past week, I’ve gotten back in there with cardio and weights and I’m already feeling so good! It’s crazy how working out will make you sleep better and overall feel more motivated. Sometimes all you need is a good sweat and to push yourself!

That’s about it for what I’ve been up to. Be sure to follow me on Instagram, as I’m much more active on there than WordPress and update my stories daily! Onto my new favorite beach bag from @theretrobag. I’ve been seeing these wooden/straw/circular bags since this time last year. I always thought they were the cutest and perfect for a day in the sand. Unlike most bags, sand doesn’t get caught in them because of well, the way it’s built! Sand falls right out and you can keep your beach essentials with you: sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. It’s so easy to carry and completely in style!

They have the cutest bohemian vibe and will go with any beachy look! I’d love to take this little bag to a beach picnic! Head over to their Instagram to check out all the different types of bohemian bags they have to offer! I hope you all enjoyed this little update post, I want to hear from you! Let me know down in the comments what you’ve been up to or your favorite activity you’ve been doing this summer! I’d love to know! xx
