A Blazer Look (& Another San Diego Visit)

Happy March everyone! Guess what?! This is my birthday month! Yes, I’m an Aries baby! I can’t believe I’m going to be 24, it almost seems unreal. It’s hard to believe I started blogging before I left for college at 18. Sometimes it’s even difficult to fathom how much my choice to start a blog has affected the rest of my life and my career. I honestly could make a whole blog post about that but I’ll stick to my planned OOTD for this post.

A couple weekends ago I took a trip down to San Diego with my family to visit my sister. I had a whole look planned and we ended up stopping in Mission Beach so I could get a couple photos. I randomly found the cutest apartment that made for the perfect shoot location. This look is very edgy, yet super put together and even professional. One of my favorite trends recently has been plaid blazers. Styling them with denim or with graphic tees like I’ve done here adds that element of coolness and makes a look much more casual. Who says you can’t look professional and casual at the same time?? This coat from Nordstrom has purple and green stripe detailing with black buttons, which adds the perfect amount of edginess as well.

As for denim, I was actually pleasantly surprised by this pair. Normally I don’t feel extremely confident in flare jeans, but something about these fit perfectly. They’re honestly extremely comfortable and have large rips at the knees. I ALWAYS wear jeans that are distressed. Partly because they’re a bit more forgiving and I prefer a more edgy vibe as you all know.

Next up, one of my new favorite graphic tees! How cool are the colors and design of this tee? I’m obsessed! I decided to tuck it into my denim jeans but you can also tie it up at the  side for a different look. Somehow the graphics in this top match in a perfectly imperfect way with the blazer. You can bet I’ll be styling this graphic tee with so many different outfits! What do you think?
