Little Black Dress in Laguna Beach

Hey guys and gals, hope you’re all having a great week! I have to say, I’m so excited for the weekend even though it’s been raining cats and dogs in SoCal. Today I’m coming at you with another OOTD! Speaking of rain, I’m so lucky we got these photos for this post because it ended up POURING as we were shooting. My boyfriend had taken about ten photos when it started to downpour in Laguna Beach. I can’t tell you how weird it is to be out in some heavy rain in a little black dress. Luckily, I had my Lack of Color hat to help! Keep reading to check out all the details!

You can’t go wrong with a little black dress, even in the spring! To be honest, most of my wardrobe is black but I’m kind of not mad at it. I especially love this LBD because of the ruffle sleeves. It gives that extra feminine touch to an all black vibe. The neckline is also very flattering which I love. Buttons run down the front and give a nice casual/bohemian look. Matches perfectly with Laguna Beach, am I right??

Next, SHOES. I have to admit I’m trying to step up my shoe/accessory game and these babies are definitely helping. They’re a very simple sandal with straps around the ankle and across the toes. If you’ve been following my Instagram, you know how obsessed I’ve been with animal print this season. These shoes are no exception, with a gorgeous cheetah pattern. The simplicity of this dress allows the shoes to stand out! This pair are from Beast Fashion.

One of my favorite items in this look: the Lack of Color hat. This is my only hat by this company, even though I wish I owned a hundred of them! I love this one because it’s the perfect neutral color but the band has the cutest pattern. It’s the best transition piece from winter to spring in my opinion! Unfortunately, it’s definitely a bit big for my head, but it’s so worth it. Definitely planning on getting more of these in the future. If you’re debating purchasing a Lack of Color, I’d recommend getting one even though they’re on the pricey side. I’m in love with mine and it makes for the cutest wall decor when I’m not wearing it!

I know there aren’t a ton of photos for this OOTD, but like I mentioned before, the weather would not allow for any more pictures. Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments or send me a DM on Instagram! I also wanted to thank you guys for all the love recently, both on Insta AND on the blog. Your comments and positivity mean the world to me! Talk to you all very soon! xx
