Tools You Need to Start a Blog or Instagram

What’s up, everyone? I’m back with a new blog post AND YouTube video! I’ve actually been on top of my YouTube game and I’m genuinely enjoying it! Editing is one of my favorite things to do now, and it used to be one of the processes I enjoyed least about content creation. How weird is that? Final Cut Pro has gotten so much easier and it was all through practice! Anyways, I wanted to post my newest video on the blog because I think a lot of you could benefit from it. I discuss a few tools that are extremely helpful if you want to start blogging or create a serious Instagram account. All of the equipment and software are tools I use myself, even some that are VERY inexpensive! Check out the video below or read my blogging tools checklist and where to purchase them below!

In this video, I mentioned a few pieces of equipment that have helped with the photography aspect of my content creation. While I started off five years ago simply using my phone, I then transitioned into more professional cameras. When I was first starting out, there were countless times that I would stack books, binders, tissue boxes, chairs, or whatever I could find to prop up my phone/camera to get the right shot. Eventually, I figured I should probably invest in a tripod (which are extremely affordable and I recommend every single one of you purchase it if you can!) There also came a point when I was commuting an hour to and from work everyday and by the time I got home, the sun had set. That’s where my good ol’ ring light comes into play (also does not break the bank).

As for software, I’m an avid user of the Adobe Creative Suite applications. Since I was a graphic design major in college, I’ve had these products for about four years now. If you’re a creative person I 100% know you would benefit from programs like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and especially LIGHTROOM! However, there are some apps that make good dupes for these applications, such as the app VSCO. If you’d like to know more about what apps I use to edit, check out one of my other editing videos here.

Canon G7X Mark II (camera I currently use for photos and videos)
Ring Light
Adobe Creative Cloud

I hope you guys enjoy the new video! If you did, please leave a comment down below. Also, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube video, as I have so many more videos planned. I’ll be posting more blog tips as well as fashion/beauty related videos! Hope you’re well and I’ll talk to you soon! xx
