Hello, loves! Hope you’re doing fantastic this week. Recently, I’ve been talking a lot about skincare on my Instagram stories. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’d know I have a long history of troubled skin. When I was a kid, my skin had zero issues and it was never something I though about. Cue my teen years coming in hot and my skin decided to totally flip on me. From there, I have lots of scarring and redness, and I’ve tried almost everything to correct it. Face washes, strict skincare routines, Proactive, facials, birth control…everything! You name it, I’ve tried it (except for Accutane, as I refuse to go on it). Luckily, as I’ve gotten older it’s seemed to cool down a bit however recently I’ve been getting the most ridiculous breakouts and my skin hasn’t looked this bad since I first started college. It’s been a bit disheartening, but it’s slowly healing and so far, I’ve attributed that to a few things. I wanted to chat about some products I’ve been using recently that I think a lot of you will love! Keep reading to check out my reviews of Versed skincare products!
First off, I wanted to talk about the packaging. I’m a sucker for some great packaging and Versed has completely knocked it out of the park! With the pastel colors of the boxes, to the font, layout, and wording, it is completely fantastic and up to par with modern culture. Versed ended up sending me quite a few of their fantastic products that I’ll list below:
Hydration Station Booster with HA (Hyaluronic Acid)
A few great facts I’d like to mention about Versed:
• Their products are clean
• Vegan & cruelty free
• The packaging is recyclable and they use fuel-efficient shipping methods
• No artificial fragrance
• No mircro-beads
• No parabens
• No formaldehyde
• And so much more! Please head over to the Versed About page to check out the full list of ingredients they make sure NOT to include in their formulas.
• Not to mention, it’s SO affordable!
When I was staying with my parents during quarantine, I’ll admit I slacked on my skincare routine. I was pretty consistent about using my Thayer’s Witch Hazel in Rose and my usual face mask from Lush, but other than that I wasn’t doing anything new to try and improve my skin. The most recent products I’ve been extremely religious about is the Just Breathe Clarifying Serum and the Vacation Eyes Brightening Gel, both from Versed. These have definitely been my two favorite products thus far from them and I’ve seen some improvement with my skin. I’ve been breaking out a lot along my chin and neck area, which is usually hormonal or even caused by wearing masks everyday if I go out in public (p.s. WEAR YOUR MASKS PEOPLE, let’s protect each other!) I’ve had some success while using serums in the past; I used to apply one from Tatcha, which I loved but ran out of. I believe they don’t sell the specific one I used anymore, which is very sad, lol. But I had high hopes for the Just Breathe serum from Versed, and it seems to be helping to clear up my problematic skin.
I have to say the Vacation Eyes Brightening Gel has impressed me immensely. I’ve used eye creams in the past but not seen much difference. I’ve been using this eye gel almost every night and even sometimes in the morning! I simply dot a few drops along my under eyes and near my temples. Normally, I do have some natural darkness underneath my eyes and I’ve seen a reduction in them recently! Also, when you apply it, there’s a soothing and cooling feeling under your eyes, which is super refreshing. It doesn’t feel heavy on your skin whatsoever, so I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a new and improved eye cream to add to your skincare routine!
As for the products I’m looking forward to using, I’m going to try the Overnight Facial Peel soon. I’ve discussed getting facial peels with my dermatologist in the past, and they’re so flippin’ expensive! I’m sure they work wonders, however I’d love for this at home peel to make some sort of improvement with my skin. I’ll definitely keep you guys posted on my Instagram stories with my opinion on the other products they sent over.
I hope you guys enjoyed this skincare post. Would you want to see more of my skincare routine? There’s a lot of new products I’ve recently been incorporating into my routine that have contributed to the overall improvement of my skin, and I’m happy to share! Let me know in the comments below if you’ve used Versed skincare before and what your opinions are! See you in the next post! xx
