Pretending I’m on Vacation OOTD

Hey everyone! How are you doing this week? It’s been a little while since I’ve posted an OOTD and I recently bought some summer pieces I love! While all of us have had to stop traveling during coronavirus, that doesn’t mean we can’t dress the part. The virus has made me realize how much I miss visiting new places, especially somewhere tropical! With that being said, I’ve put together the perfect vacation look for when we can actually take a holiday again. Check out the details and photos below:

P.S. these photos were taken at Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach. I would recommend this area for any photographers or content creators looking for a fun location to shoot. It also makes for the sweetest date location, as there’s lots of restaurants and shops to explore (safely of course by social distancing and wearing a mask!)

Something I’ve been so in love with recently have been straw hats. I had been eyeing the hat from Lack of Color, however I was on the hunt for a dupe that was a bit cheaper. There were some options that I found, however the best one was the Luella hat from Olive and Pique. I bought this baby during their 30% off sale, which is still going on during the upload of this blog post. It is the perfect natural straw hat with a cute tie around the top. The best thing about this hat is that it’s adjustable from the inside. There’s a drawstring which can be tightened if need be.

My other most recent purchase has been this sunny marigold jumpsuit from Stitch and Feather. I recently visited their newest location in Laguna Beach and I have to say the store is absolutely stunning! I love the way it was merchandized and laid out. If you’re in the Southern California area and looking for a great place to shop, I definitely recommend Stitch and Feather. The bust of the jumpsuit is smocked, so it’s made to look beautiful on any body type. I prefer pieces that are smocked, as its much more comfortable. It also ties at the front, which is a very unique feature I haven’t seen on any other jumpsuit or romper. I’m wearing a size medium, however I might even recommend sizing down.

I paired this summery jumpsuit with my sky blue mini heels from Mi.iM Shoes, which are currently on sale from $49 to $19. Such a steal! They are called the Candice shoe and I’ve been loving them with so many outfits this summer. I will say they definitely take some breaking in, but they’re worth it.

As for jewelry, is there anything better for a vacation OOTD than gold earrings and necklaces? It’s funny because I used to wear nothing but silvery jewelry, and now in my 20’s I wear nothing but gold. There’s something about gold that makes me feel so elegant. I’ve been super into my gold hoops from Ana Luisa (if you follow me on Instagram, you now how much I adore their pieces!) I can’t seem to find the exact pair I’m wearing on their site, but the Large Hoops are very similar. The gold paper clip chain bracelet and pendant necklace are also from Ana Luisa.

I hope you all enjoyed this new OOTD! Please feel free to comment any questions you have about this look. Want more content? You can check out my three most recent posts below!

When I was 16, I was obsessed with this black trilby hat and would wear it everywhere. Tried to pack it to take it on holiday with me but it ended up getting squashed and losing its shape and was never the same again. Never realised how hard hats are to store and pack until then! Loving this outfit – very summery indeed! xx
