Throwback to the 90’s OOTD

Hey guys and gals! It’s been a little bit since I’ve updated you on a recent OOTD. Since fall is technically here (even though the temperature still in the 80’s and 90’s in SoCal) I’ve been preparing my wardrobe for the cooler weather. Some of you have been around since the very beginning and know that my ideal style is a mix of edgy and feminine. I love a good all black outfit and that’s exactly what I wore during a photoshoot recently. I had found a gorgeous black graphic tee recently while shopping at Hollister (which I don’t shop at too often) and knew I had to include it in a post! I want to share the full details of the outfit in today’s post, so let’s get into it! (All items will be linked at the end of this post through my Like to Know It).

This entire shoot was photographed by Chelsea Garmshausen (@chelseagarmsy @photosbychelseag on Instagram). Check out her amazing photos!

I want to start out with my favorite part of this whole look: these incredible white boots from Steven Madden! To be honest with you guys, I’ve never been much of a shoe or accessories kind of gal. However, recently I’ve been getting more interested in shoes, especially booties during the fall and winter. A good boot can really pull together any look. Especially when it comes to this all black look, the dark tones really allows the boots to shine! These shoes also have an alligator/snakeskin texture which really brings out more of that edgy vibe. The heel on them isn’t incredibly high, I’d say a few inches tall at the most, making them incredibly wearable and easy to walk around in (especially during long shoot days).

Okay how flippin’ cool is this graphic tee? I literally LIVE for a good oversized tee and wear them the majority of my days. They’re just so cozy, can you blame me?! This one in particular is super oversized and I adore the distressed look of it. Not to mention, the pop of purple is one of my favorite aspects of this top. Fun fact when I was a teenager my favorite color combo was black and purple! We all had our emo My Chemical Romance phase, right? I styled it by tucking it into my high waisted black jeans which are from @justblackdenim. I love the look of high waisted jeans and an oversized shirt, its also so comfortable to wear for any body type! You could also roll up the sleeves a couple of times for an even edgier look, but I preferred them unrolled for this outfit.

As for my necklaces, I wore some layered gold chain necklaces, which I purchased from @stitchandfeather in Laguna Beach. It’s funny, I used to only wear silver jewelry but the past year or so I’ve been very into gold jewelry instead. Especially when it comes to necklaces, I think gold really warms up any look.

You guys have seen my signature Ray Ban sunglasses in so many of my OOTD’s, but I honestly love them and they’re my favorite pair I’ve ever owned. They definitely add to the casual vibe of this fit. Be sure to shop them and the other items from this post down below from my Like to Know It! Also, let me know what you thought of this OOTD down in the comments below. I’d love to know your thoughts and what your favorite item is! Talk to you all soon and have a fantastic week! xx
