A Brand New Season: Life Update November 2020

Hey beautiful guys and gals! Welcome back to the blog. Wow, so much has changed within the last month since my last post that I’m not quite sure where to start. So many aspects of my life have taken a complete 180 and I’ve been trying to adjust to all the change. On top of the pandemic, I’ve been dealing with some adjustments professionally and relationally that have really taken a toll on me (both in good and difficult ways). Some things I want to go in depth on, and others I’m not quite ready to dive into but this blog has always been a great way for me to look back and reflect on the seasons of my life. Good or bad, I want to be able to look back on all different situations. So let’s start on a good note and talk about my brand new job!

I know so many of you can relate to this but I was job searching for so many months during quarantine. It was a very draining process and at times felt a bit hopeless. There is so much competition right now given the high unemployment rate but I didn’t give up. I didn’t want just another job, I wanted to build a career I was obsessed with, in a company who appreciated me and wanted to help me grow. I’m happy to say that I’ve finally found that! I am currently the marketing coordinator for an e-commerce fashion brand! You guys have seen me post about it quite a bit on Instagram lately and it’s because I simply adore the clothes, my coworkers, the atmosphere, and simply what I do for a living! I want to encourage any of you who are still searching desperately for the perfect job, and tell you that it’s out there!!! You’re going to find a place that recognizes your strengths but also wants to teach you the ropes and how to do things in better ways. Very soon you’re going to find a position doing something you love in a team that wants you to succeed. Take this as your sign to keep going! I’ve been very blessed to be surrounded by friends and family who constantly encouraged me and pushed me along when I needed it most. I hope in these difficult times I can be that for you, whoever is reading this day or night. You will find the right place for you.

I also want to link the company I work for here, it’s called Amaryllis and I genuinely think a lot of you would adore the style! There’s so many great options for fall as well, here are some of my faves:

In regards to things that have been more difficult, I’ve been going through a breakup which I know most of you can sympathize with. Without going into too much detail, I’m experiencing heartbreak but also oddly feeling myself getting stronger? I know exactly what I want in life and this is just a part of my story, as a good friend told me. These things are very hard, but we make it through one way or another. I’ve been filling my days with work and seeing so many incredible friends. I feel lucky too have so much support during this time. I took a little break from social media and haven’t officially said anything on my Instagram, which I still won’t for a while but a lot of you have followed me for years on the blog and I felt the need to explain my inconsistent posting on here. But I’m back on my posting game and excited to show you guys all the new photos soon! Like I’ve mentioned before, I post on my Instagram stories everyday so be sure to keep up with me there!

The next topic I wanted to discuss with you guys is health. To be completely honest, I’ve been going specifically to our family chiropractor very often lately. I got my blood work done (which if you know me, I HATE needles so I definitely got all worked up) and unfortunately, the results didn’t come back so good. There is a history of thyroid issues in my family and to my dismay, I’ve inherited those problems and am struggling with hypo AND hyperthyroidism. Some of the symptoms that come with this are anxiety and shakiness just to name a couple. Although it runs in my family, I didn’t assume it would be as bad as it is. My doctor strongly recommends going on a dairy and gluten free diet. As I’ve mentioned on my Instagram, cutting out dairy won’t be hard for me, but the gluten thing is a whole other story. Luckily, SO MANY of you reached out to me recommending great dairy and gluten free products for me to try, as well as sharing your personal testimonies with me. I can’t believe so many women struggle with this health issue and I sympathize with any of you who have had to completely switch lifestyles because of hypo or hyperthyroidism (or in my case, both!) I’m going to try and slowly change my eating habits, incorporating gluten free and dairy free items. If any of you have tips or any knowledge about this, please feel free to leave them in the comments below!

I hope this wasn’t too long of a rant, but I really thought you all deserved an update. This year has just been so crazy and I know I’m not the only one who’s life has changed dramatically in a short amount of time. But something I try to remind myself everyday is that life comes in seasons. I’ve repeated that word a lot throughout this post intentionally because oddly enough, it’s comforting. It’s comforting to know that things can change and how life ebs and flows. Whether someone walks out of your life, a new one will always come in. If an opportunity ends, it simply means a better one is soon to come. I’m learning this every step of the way and I’m not done growing and changing. Here’s to the next season. Cheers! xx

Loved reading your update post!! Congratulations on your job, this is truly amazing for you and I actually love the clothes the company you work for sell, they seem wonderful as a brand!! I am very sorry for your break up and more importantly, for your health issues. I personally never experienced this, so I don’t have any advice to tell you but I can imagine how hard it is!! I really admire how strong you are ❤️

Thank you for the update post. It is difficult with following someone online because whilst you have never met them and are not a friend, you do come to care for them and wish them the best, even though you only ever see a tiny proportion of their life. Congratulations on the new job – it sounds like it is right up your street looking at your Instagram and blog content! I am sorry to hear about the break-up but I love your positive attitude and I am definitely a believer that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes a door needs to close so that another one can open, however hard that is at the time. I know that better things are coming for you (and hopefully for us all, like the end of this pandemic!!!!). xx
