Can't Get Enough Shackets OOTD

Hey everyone! Welcome to my first post of 2021. That honestly still feels so weird that we’re in January 2021. It feels like we’re still in the same year but with a hopeful undertone. I wanted to kick off this year with an OOTD that you guys went crazy for on Instagram. We all know shackets have been a huge trend in recent months and I’ve recently bought a piece that I simply adore. I’ve always been a fan of edgy outfits with a bit of feminine energy added in. This look fits that description perfectly and I can’t wait to wear it out and about when quarantine is over. All of the details of this outfit will be linked at the end of this post in the “Shop the Look” section. Let’s get into it!

A black and white look is just SUCH a vibe for me lately. Anything neutral (i.e. browns, tan, white) has also caught my eye this season. There’s something about that color scheme that is a bit more mature and better fitting for someone in their 20’s. I love that this shacket (or jacket, you decide) is so oversized. I love wrapping up in it and it’s perfect for Southern California winter weather. I prefer to wear the sleeves as they are, but you could totally roll them up for an even more casual look. I’m obsessed with the fabrics as well; it’s fairly thick and it gives me Chanel/high end vibes. Lastly, the ends of the shacket are a bit frayed, which I think is a very nice detail from the designer. Unfortunately, this shacket is sold out from Luna B, but I’ll link a similar black and white jacket for you guys that is equally as cute!

Next up: the black zipper pants. You guys…when I tell you these are the most comfortable pants I own, I am NOT lying. These fit exactly like your most comfy pair of yoga pants and I’m absolutely not mad about it! With flexible fabric and extremely forgiving waistline (which I’m a big fan of), you can easily wear these all day long and wherever you go, you’re guaranteed to feel like you’re lounging in pj’s. What’s better than that during these Rona times?? Not to mention, I love the edgy touch of the zippers down the front. You can either zip them all the way down, or leave them open for a unique look like I did. Personally, I love the shoes of this outfit so I wanted them to show. These are the absolute perfect pants for just that!

Alright, let’s get into shoes and accessories because I’m a little stoked about them. I can’t tell you how many kind comments I received about these white platform ankle boots. I recently purchased them during the Steve Madden 40% off Black Friday sale, and honestly it’s my favorite purchase of the month. The black and white platform look has matched perfectly with almost every one of my outfits. I’d strongly recommend giving them a try if you’re interested because I can’t get enough! You can tell in the photos that I’ve been wearing them extremely often by how scuffed up they are already lol, (but I think it matches the vibe of this outfit so I didn’t edit the scuffs out). Click below for the link to these bad boys.

Okay, you guys know I don’t normally feature any designer bags in my OOTD’s. My style is more casual, beachy, and laid back but your girl is stepping up in the world. I recently got a Louis Vuitton bag for Christmas. I feel very blessed to have such an amazing piece as a designer bag and don’t take it lightly. If you’re thinking about starting a collection like me, I’d highly recommend starting with the LV Neverfull bag. I personally chose the neutral interior, but there’s a couple other colors as well. It honestly holds SO MUCH and comes with a small clutch on the inside that is detachable. Once I get to work back in the office, I can’t wait to take this bad boy with me. It holds my keys, phone, sunglasses, water bottle, computer, wallet and more! Once the virus calms down, I can’t wait to take it traveling as well. Basically, it’s my new partner in crime. If you’re a fan of designer bags, which one is your favorite!? Let me know in the comments. As for the sunglasses, they were actually super cheap and from Amazon. I’m sure you’ve seen them all over Instagram but I love the sleek, black look of them. To be honest, they make me feel super bougie on a budget. Again, link is below for them.

I hope you guys enjoyed the first OOTD of 2021! Let me know your favorite piece in this look below. I’ll talk to you all soon and hope you have a great week!

I cannot believe how popular Shackets have become! I remember seeing Mariajblogs talking about Shackets a little while ago before they were ‘in fashion’ and now I am seeing them everywhere! I actually own an army green one that I got a few years ago which I love – it is lightweight enough for summer but still warm enough for those cooler evenings. xx
