The Only Christmas Candle You’ll Ever Need! (Blogmas Day 10)

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!! The start to a new week, so let’s make it a good one! Starting a new week is always a bit difficult for me, so I hope this post makes your day just a bit better! Firstly, I’d like to thank you guys for all the positive feedback on Blogmas this year. You guys seem to be enjoying the posts so far and that makes me SO happy!! So let’s get started with today’s post. Yesterday I did a whole Christmas grocery haul specifically from Trader Joe’s. I’m going to bounce off that today and introduce you guys to the best candle I’ve ever owned.

IMG_2834.jpeg

I’d like to mention that I’m someone who has a really hard time with candles. I absolutely adore the vibe they give. They’re so calming and the flickering of the fire is always beautiful. However, I tend to get headaches pretty easily when they’re lit, which has been a huge bummer. I get headaches pretty easily in general, but it’s always guaranteed if a candle is lit. I’ve found that soy candles tend to not have this effect, but it’s still risky. Recently though, I was introduced to this Cedar Balsam candle from Trader Joe’s from my wonderful coworkers. We’ve been burning it since before Thanksgiving because we all love it so much. It hasn’t given me a headache and I can finally enjoy the scent of Christmas!

IMG_2837-1.jpeg

The best way I can describe this candle is: Christmas in a little tin. At first, I thought it smelled exactly like a pine tree. Which has been so nice because I grew up with a fake tree my whole life. Our tree always looks beautiful and full but our house never really smells like a fresh tree. With this candle though, you 100% get that holiday vibe. Even though the scent is technically Cedar Balsam, it still reminds me of a lovely pine tree.

They had a couple large barrels of this same candle at the store, so I stocked up! Just in case they ever decide to discontinue it. Apparently, they also have a gingerbread scented candle that is even more popular! Let me know if you guys have ever heard of that candle or can vouch for how amazing it is. These candles are about $4 each, which I think is a really amazing price for a candle considering the amount of wax inside the tin. Of course, being the designer I am, I have to bring up the packaging. What else would you expect from me?? Firstly, I LOVE that it comes in an adorable silver tin. It just feels so Christmasy and appropriate for the holidays. I also love the simplicity, color, and fonts used on the label. Sometimes, it’s nice not to have the expected red or green patterns.

I hope you guys enjoyed this short little post about this awesome candle! It really is one of the best and you don’t have to deal with the crowds that are usually in places like Bath and Body Works. Let me know in the comments if you know about this candle or if you’ve tried it. See you all soon!! xx

Trader Joe’s Christmas Haul! (Blogmas Day 9)

So it’s not an unknown fact that I’m literally obsessed with anything sweet, namely chocolate. If I could eat dessert after every meal and keep thin with clear skin, I would gladly partake. However, that is definitely not practical. For the holidays though, I do tend to splurge and let myself enjoy all the Christmas goodies. Trader Joe’s, which is a healthy grocery store here in the states, always comes out with amazing holiday themed snacks. Around Halloween they always have pumpkin or apple spice options and during Christmas of course they have tons of peppermint, hot chocolate, and toffee items. You basically can’t control yourself and I’m kind of okay with that. For today’s post, I have a huge Trader Joe’s haul for your guys with some of the best Christmas treats they have to offer, or some of my favorites at least!

IMG_2854.jpeg

IMG_2838.jpeg

Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s

We’re going to start of strong with some of my absolute favorites. Most people around here know what Joe-Joe cookies are (a “healthy” alternative to Oreo cookies). During Christmas though, the store releases a peppermint version, which taste exactly like thin mints from the Girl Scouts. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up eating the whole box. Especially dipped in some almond or rice milk, you might end up in trouble.

Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Joe-Joe’s

Another twist on these classic cookies are the dark chocolate versions. Basically completely covered in dark chocolate and sprinkled with peppermint chunks. These are much more filling but probably one of the most delicious treats you’ll ever have. One or two will definitely satisfy you, which is good because they are quite high in calories. I’d recommend sharing these with friends or family because they’re simply way too tempting!

Peppermint Pretzel Slims

These are a great little snack if you want something sweet but also a little light. Their normal slim pretzels are covered in creamy white chocolate and again covered in peppermint pieces. These would be great snacks during a Christmas party, come to think of it! I really enjoyed all of these products during my college days. It was always so fun to shop around Trader Joe’s and have some desserts waiting for me after a long day in class.

IMG_2849.jpeg

Mini Gingerbread Men

I had actually forgot these existed when I saw them in the store! These little gingerbread men are too cute and again would be great at a Christmas party or at a family get together. The kids are bound to love them, as well as the adults because they taste so freaking good! The backs are dipped in white fudge icing and umm…who doesn’t love that?? They come in quite a big box so you’d probably only need one or two depending on the size of your party. For the little ones, these are great to leave by the fireplace for Santa 😉

IMG_2846.jpeg

IMG_2843.jpeg

Hot Chocolate, Marshmallows, and Whipped Cream

Okay, this is a little sneak peak of a post I’m planning but I couldn’t leave Trader Joe’s without the necessary components to make the perfect cup of hot cocoa. I’m the queen of hot chocolate around the holidays, and there’s nothing better than a big cup on a cold night while watching Christmas movies. Trader Joe’s offered an organic hot chocolate option. There are individual packets in the box that you simply add water to. There’s so many other ways to make hot chocolate, but this is the much easier option if you’re making multiple cups for your family. Of course, topped with some whipped cream (either in a can like this or homemade), with some mini marshmallows, you can’t go wrong!

IMG_2840.jpeg

Peppermint Bark Popcorn

This is another great option for the kiddos. Not only because of the cute packaging, but because of the actual product. Popcorn covered in chocolate with peppermint pieces! Luckily it comes in a small bag because honestly I would be all over these! In college and even at work, popcorn is the perfect snack to hold you over before lunch or dinner. Why not make it a little more festive with white chocolate and peppermint?? Sounds like a good deal to me!

Ginger Bread Spice Granola

Alright so here’s a (somewhat) healthy option for you guys! We have to at least attempt to keep a good diet around the holidays…right? Granola mixed in with candied ginger and pecans is the perfect topping for açaí bowls or coconut yogurt. I’ve been eating less açaí bowls since summer passed, but it’s still one of my favorite breakfast options. This granola is the perfect blend of summer and winter and I’m here for it! Not to mention, the packaging is gorgeous and so perfect for the holidays.

I hope you guys enjoyed this grocery haul! It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted one, but I hope it helps with your shopping list this Christmas! I’d definitely recommend any of these items, they would work great for a gift basket or as a snack before Christmas dinner. Let me know which one of these products you’d be dying to try! Talk to you all soon! xx

Black Friday Haul 2018!

Hello loves! For all my American readers, I hope you all had a beautiful Thanksgiving filled with lots of good food and family! I of course always look forward to sweet potatoes topped with roasted marshmallows, green bean casserole and of course some good ol’ turkey. Sometimes though, the real fun comes on Black Friday, when prices are low and the crowds are way too condensed. I’ll be honest I’m not one of those that gets up at 4 or 5am to jump in line at my favorite store. I actually prefer to go in after the fact or shop online. I stopped by a couple places today and found a few great things for the coming winter season (not that we actually get a cold winter here in California but I like to pretend, LOL). So for today’s post, I want to do a haul of things I got while Black Friday shopping and hopefully it’ll inspire you to embrace this new season wherever you are!

Autumnal Tones & Frayed Sleeves

Facetune-1.jpg

Facetune.jpg

Starting off strong with one of my favorite pieces from Black Friday! During fall, I always am drawn to burgundy or gray tones. I love the mix of colors in this sweater, especially because I know I’ll wear them years from now. This sweater is also very cropped, which is fitting for the SoCal weather. You can enjoy a knit sweater but not worry about getting too overheated when the sun ultimately pops out. The neckline and sleeves are also very frayed, giving it a distressed and grungey look. This would be the perfect piece to wear on Christmas day or simply to snuggle up with your special person to watch a movie. I paired it with my knit beanie from Topshop that I purchased a few years back. This sweater had a 20% discount for Black Friday, which I think is a steal considering the brand is usually a bit pricey.

Facetune-2.jpg

Normally when winter hits, I will head up to the mountains for a day and spend some time in the snow. I’d love to wear this outfit with big jacket thrown over it and maybe even a scarf depending on how chilly it is. I honestly don’t know how to dress for the snow so this is the closest I can get, LOL. But hey, sometimes being cold is the price to pay for fashion, right??

I Put a Spell on You

Image.jpgThis has to be another one of my favorite pieces from the haul. This long black cardigan really did put a spell on me. There’s something so beautiful and feminine about a fitted cardigan that reached all the way to the floor. Paired with my favorite gray hat, I feel super witchy in this outfit. I guess you could say I’m bringing back some Halloween vibes into Christmas! Especially when paired with boots, this cardigan really makes a statement. On the topic of boots, how amazing is this gray snakeskin pair from Steve Madden?! While I didn’t purchase these on Black Friday, I thought I’d give them a little shoutout because I wear them every chance I get.

Of course, I paired this cardigan with some black distressed denim because if you know me, I’ll always go for an all black look. For whatever reason, I feel very confident in all black and it’s slimming to every figure.

IMG_2144.jpeg

IMG_2183.jpeg

Underneath the cardigan I have a top I got 10% off on Black Friday. I love a good button down, and this white one that ties in the front is so versatile. It’s a piece that can be layered during winter but also worn on it’s own during the spring or summer. It’s super comfortable and I love buying simple basics like this.

Cozy by a Stormy Sea

IMG_2190.jpeg

I’ve been seeing these oversized teddy bear material sweaters all over the place lately! Most of them come in a jacket form but I found this one as a pullover. They actually didn’t have this sweater in my size, so I opted for a larger size. But honestly I really love being wrapped up in a cozy material, so I don’t mind at all. It has a very large hood, great for spending time down by the ocean on a windy day. This sweater really reminds me of sitting on the sand next to the pier, watching a stormy sea. There’s nothing more beautiful. This is another great piece if you’re going up to the snow since the material is so warm and can be layered!

IMG_2127.jpeg

More Stripes, Are You Surprised?

IMG_2187.jpeg

While I was shopping, I did a few polls on my Instagram story. I asked you guys if I should buy a certain item or leave it on the rack. I was surprised to see a lot of people thought I should leave this piece at the store. Regardless, I really loved the look of this sweater with the tie in the front and the material is extremely comfortable so I ended up buying it anyway! I love having sweaters like this to lounge around in at home, but I think this could be styled really nicely as well. I love the color and the overall laid back vibe, so I’m really happy with this purchase! It’ll be perfect for a casual work day in the office too! Let me know what you think of this piece in particular down in the comments.

IMG_2185.jpeg

I really hope you guys enjoyed this Black Friday haul. I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a fashion post, and I missed it so much! Like I mentioned in my previous post, life has continued to be a bit hectic but I’ve been focusing a lot on my health and going to the gym almost everyday. I’m slowly starting to transform my body, which has made my little break from blogging totally worth it. I hope one day I can make a transformation/how I got healthy post! Anyways, did you do any Black Friday shopping this year and what are your favorite stores? I’d love to know! Talk to you all soon! xx

Sephora Haul!

Hello, everyone! I’m coming at you today with a SEPHORA HAUL! Yes! I ended up strolling into the store a couple weeks ago and buying probably more than I should have…oops. However, there were a few products I’ve really been wanting to try out! I’m sure there is a product or two that you will find interesting during this haul, so let’s get right to it!

sephorahaul9.JPG

sephorahaul.JPG

sephorahaul2.JPG

As I entered the store, I made a beeline for the Marc Jacobs section. I have heard time and time again how amazing the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Foundation is, so it was the one product I had planned to purchase. I asked to be color matched by one of the employees and she found me an almost perfect shade! As for packaging, I’ll admit it is a bit small considering the price. However, this is totally okay! You use so little of the foundation during each use, that one bottle will last you months and months! I was told by the employee that this foundation can get cakey real quick, so start small and build up if you need to. Also, this foundation should be applied with a brush and not a beauty blender. This product retails for $55.

My experience: To be perfectly honest, I was blown away! It’s rare when I seek out a different foundation, but this is 100% the best product I’ve used. It’s velvety and as I mentioned before, a little goes a very long way!

sephorahaul5.JPG

sephorahaul10.JPG

coachella8.JPG

Next, I picked up another jar of loose translucent setting powder from Laura Mercier. I’ve used this for years and is a Holy Grail product for me. I’ve tried some cheaper drugstore setting powders (for example the Rimmel Stay Matte powder) but they tend to break me out at times. My skins is extremely sensitive, so personally it’s worth it to spend a little more on a product that won’t cause acne. Not to mention, the Laura Mercier powder usually lasts a very long time! It sells for $38.

sephorahaul6.JPG

Thirdly, I really wanted to try out a setting spray! I had never used one of these before, but since my skin is on the oily side (and with graduation in a few days) I really want my makeup to last. Especially during a night out surrounded by people, you want your makeup looking fresh to death and flawless! I picked up the All Nighter Setting Spray from Urban Decay (it’s oil free!). I’ve used their products for a while and definitely trust the brand. They have about four different versions of this for various types of skin, but I simply chose the original. I haven’t gotten a good chance to test it out yet, but I could do a short review on it when I do. The one thing I did notice though, is the scent of this product. I expected it to smell of a light perfume or maybe a generic fresh scent, however it doesn’t smell good at all. If it sets your makeup well though, this doesn’t matter much. This setting spray was $32.

sephorahaul7.JPG

Last but not least, Sephora actually gifted me a sample product since it was around my birthday. They gave me a couple products from Glam Glow, and I was stoked! I’ve heard a lot about their masks so I was excited to give it a try. The box came with an illuminating moisturizer and a face mask.

My experience: I’ll mention that I did try the mask and it ended up leaving my skin very red. Luckily I put makeup on for the day, but the redness lasted longer than a normal mask would do. I’m hesitant to try it again since my skin is so sensitive, but I want to understand what the hype is all about. Let me know if you’ve tried this product out and what you think!

sephorahaul3.JPG

sephorahaul4.JPG

Hope you guys enjoyed this little haul! Let me know down in the comments if you’ve tried out any of these products and what your thoughts are on them. So far, I’m definitely loving the Re(marc)able foundation and of course the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. I’m excited to see if the Urban Decay setting spray lives up to it’s name and hopefully the Glam Glow mask won’t make me look like a puffy tomato again! Anyways, I’ll talk to you guys soon and thanks for reading!

Blogmas Day 13: Wintery Snacks & Drinks to Try This Christmas!

Hi loves! I’m sorry this post is going up a little late, but I have had some of the busiest last couple days of the whole semester! Finals and completing my last design projects have kept me completely preoccupied, but I’m determined to keep on top of Blogmas because I flipping adore it!  I haven’t done a food haul for this Christmas season yet, so I’m bringing you a mini one today! During Halloween, I did an autumnal foods haul, which is one of my favorite posts because of the photography (check that out here!) So without further ado, here are some of my latest holiday food finds!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

christmasfoods1.jpg

Ahh hot chocolate. One of the simplest hot beverages and one of the most delicious for the holidays! I picked up this little can of peppermint hot chocolate a few weeks ago from Trader Joe’s. I’d say this drink is more fresh and minty than chocolatey, which I think many people would like! Personally, I love when hot chocolate is extremely sweet, but I know many would prefer the muted chocolate taste. I also really appreciate the packaging it came it. It would be so simple to put the chocolate powder in little bags and use a cardboard box, but I really appreciate the tin can in comes in and the cheerful graphics on the front.

Danish Butter Cookies

christmasfoods4.jpg

Okay, can we just take some time to appreciate this tin design?? Seriously, these graphics create a little Danish wonderland! I’m in love with the little Christmas trees, reindeers, hearts, and socks that are organized all around the packaging. The off white with the cobalt blue and red is simply gorgeous and honestly makes me want to eat these delicious cookies everyday. I’ve had butter cookies before, but for some reason this season I was really craving them! In the tin are five different cookies in unique shapes. Some have sugar sprinkled across the top, and others are simple butter cookies. They are extremely soft and have such a lovely taste. If you’ve never tried butter cookies, definitely pick these up from Trader Joe’s, you won’t regret it!

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

christmasfoods2.jpg

Drum roll please! Yes, another hot chocolate review! Could you expect anything less from me?? This one’s for those with a major sweet tooth! This hot chocolate is damn sweet and has a strong taste of salted caramel. Again, this is from Trader Joe’s and comes in an adorable little tin. I will usually heat up a big cup of water in the microwave and add about 2-3 scoops of this stuff (and of course, top with a healthy dollop of whipped cream!)

White Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzels

christmasfoods3.jpg

Last but certainly not least, these pretzels are absolutely unforgettable! They are perfect for any holiday party or just for a little bit of sweets after dinner. White chocolate isn’t something I eat very often, but it’s perfect when contrasted with the saltiness of the pretzel. The bits of peppermint on top are quite a lot, which I usually don’t like. But surprisingly it isn’t overpowering at all. I highly recommend these, but be careful, they’re a little dangerous considering the large bag! I bought these at Costco, but I have no doubt they are sold other places as well. Definitely check Target for them if you’re interested!

Alright, that’s it for tonight! I need to recover from my two finals I had today! Luckily, I have one more critique for ceramics tomorrow and I’m home for the holidays, yay!! Hope you all are doing well and if you’re a student, good luck with finishing up finals!

Fall Grocery Haul!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. I’ve recently gotten so into autumn inspired food, whether that’s pumpkin flavors, spiced food items, or apple, I’ve been loving it all! I took a little trip to Trader Joe’s last week and picked up some amazing things. They’ve been going all out with their autumnal goodies, so here’s everything I chose!

Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancakes

fallfood1.jpg

fallfood2.jpg

So I thought I’d start off with one of my favorites: Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancakes! I tried this for the first time last fall and I was just dying to get my hands on them again. They are so packed with flavor and extremely simple to make! To make it even better, they are perfect for all my gluten free friends! They seriously taste like traditional pancakes and bake like them too, so it kind of blows my mind. I actually made an apple rings recipe that involved this mix last year, so if you’d like a fun new recipe to try out, click here. I’d love to make an updated recipe post with this mix since it’s just so life changing. Let me know if you’d like to see that. You can get this at Trader Joe’s.

Cinnamon Spice Oatmeal

fallfood3.jpg

fallfood4.jpg

This Organic Cinnamon Spice Oatmeal is actually something I have year round, but it’s absolutely perfect for this time of year. I always put cinnamon in my oatmeal in the mornings, but this has it right in the mix! Usually I have limited time for breakfast, but I love instant oatmeal because I can pour it right into a to go mug, add some water, microwave it for 50 seconds and I’m done! Lately my routine has been to add some agave nectar to the top and mix it in. It gives a nice sweet taste while still having that lovely spice to it from the cinnamon. This box comes with so many packs of instant oatmeal, so it’s great for a busy student. You can find this at Trader Joe’s as well.

fallfood11.jpg

fallfood12.jpg

Here is another one of my favorites! I just found this at Trader Joe’s, as it was one of the samples they were offering that day. The second I tasted it, I knew I couldn’t pass it up. This spiced cider is simply amazing and can be made so many different ways! I love having it cold and I actually warmed it up the other night for a couple of my friends. They went crazy over it, so this big bottle has gone fast! I’d love to see how this could work in some sort of recipe as well, since the flavor is so unique and the consistency is smooth. If autumn could have a flavor, this would be exactly it. That sounded weird, but its totally true! Let me know if you guys have any good recipes to include this in!

Vanilla Cake Mix

fallfood5.jpg

fallfood6.jpg

This specific product I chose because I’ve been dying to make Halloween cupcakes! I’m not the best baker in the world, but I love making cute little things for the season. I wanted a very simple cake since I found adorable baking cups and bright orange frosting. I think the vanilla flavor is also an essential for the fall season, even though I drink it year round. A decaf vanilla latte is my go to in every season!

Baking Cups

fallfood13.jpg

When I took my trip to Michael’s I found these adorable little baking cups that I just couldn’t turn down. They had so many different options, but I really loved the cob webs (they looked very Tim Burton to me) and the adorable pumpkin with the stripes. I’m very excited to use these and create the perfect batch of spooky treats! Here’s to hoping they turn out alright!

Pumpkin Shaped Pasta and Harvest Sauce

fallfood7.jpg

fallfood8.jpg

Guys. Look at this flippin’ pasta. It’s shaped like little pumpkins!!! You can’t get much cuter than that! When I first saw them, I knew I had to try them out. I’ve never seen these before in stores, and it’s the greatest idea! Next to the pasta was the Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce. On the bottom it says,”Made with pumpkin and butternut squash.” Seriously the perfect combo and great merchandising for putting these two side by side in the store. It really reeled me in and now I’m so excited to have this for dinner with my roommates one night!

Pumpkin Bread & Muffin Baking Mix

fallfood14.jpg

Okay so honestly, I’m a little torn over this product. I bought this Gluten Free Pumpkin Bread mix at Trader Joe’s and I ended up making 12 muffins. The mix was extremely easy to put together and when they were baking, my apartment smelled absolutely amazing! However, I had a little trouble with them because they were gluten free. I baked them over the amount of time that was needed and for some reason, they ended up not being cooked enough! To be completely real with you guys, I baked them and then they turned back into mush! Help me understand how that happens, lol. The bottoms actually were cooked perfectly but for whatever reason, the tops just sank back into uncooked goo. I was pretty bummed about this because the parts that were edible were so delicious! I’m including the mix in this haul because the taste was amazing and I think it’d be a perfect product if you can figure out how to bake with gluten free products correctly. It may just be something I have to practice, which I don’t mind doing because the baked part of the muffins were to die for! If you try this out, let me know how it goes because I’m super curious!

Caramel Almond Pumpkin Spice Kind Bars

fallfood9.jpg

fallfood10.jpg

Last but not least, a little snack to grab and go! Kind bars are an essential part of my pantry when I’m at school. As I’ve mentioned before, I have very limited time for breakfast before my design class in the morning. Bars like these are perfect for me, especially if I have limited time between classes as well. These are special edition Caramel Almond Pumpkin Spice flavor and I’m living for it. I love the packaging as well with the little leaves falling. One down side to this box though, is that it only comes with four bars. I do wish they came with a little more, but hey, I won’t complain about a special edition flavor! I believe you can get these at Target.

Alright, that’s all I have for you guys for this post. I hope you enjoyed this grocery haul. Which items would you like to try most? Or if you’ve tried any of these, how did you like them?? There’s a few things here I have yet to cook or try, so I’m very excited for the upcoming weeks of October. Hope you’re all getting excited or even a little spooked for Halloween! Talk to you soon! xx

Autumn Decor Haul!

Are you guys ready for an autumn invasion on my blog? I am and I’m so excited about today’s post! I really hope you guys like it and that it inspires you to celebrate a ton this fall! Last week I took a trip to Michael’s craft store to find some fall decorations that could (pumpkin) spice up my room. Lol, see what I did there? I’m so cheesy, I apologize. I didn’t realize they were having such great deals going on so I ended up getting a lot more than expected because everything was so cheap! So let’s just get right into it, I’m too excited too show you guys everything!

Bed Decor & Pillows

falldecor2.jpg

falldecor1.jpg

falldecor3.jpg

falldecor5.jpg

falldecor4.jpg

These gorgeous leaves were an item I went specifically to purchase from Michael’s. I really wanted decor that would have a very nature-esque vibe. They were exactly what I was imagining. I believe they were sold originally for $9 or $10 but they were having a discount so I bought them for $4. When I said Michael’s was having deal, I meant amazing deals on Halloween/fall decorations. They ended up working perfectly with the fairy lights I already had on my headboard (my headboard and bed is from Ikea, in case you were curious). I bought those lights at Target for $6. I seriously have been finding all the deals lately guys! I ended up loving the leaves and lights combination against my gray pillowcases and bedding. The pillowcases and the sheets have little white outlines of flowers, which go perfectly with the leaves. My sheets and bedding are also from Target. The pillow ended up being the most expensive item I purchased that day, also from Michael’s. The “hello fall” pillow was $14.99 and has a little pumpkin and leaves on the bottom left. It ties together my autumn aesthetic so well and I’m really happy with how my bed is looking for this season!

Wall Decor

falldecor7.jpg

falldecor8.jpg

falldecor6.jpg

Michael’s was selling a ton of these little decorative signs when I was there. All in different sizes with different sayings. This one was my favorite with the brown vertical stripes and the little pumpkin that looks like it was hand painted. For some reason this just looks like it belongs in a kitchen, so that’s exactly where I hung it. It would also be adorable on a bedside table or a desk, but I like how it looks hung in my kitchen. The frame comes off the wall about an inch and a half, and I love that about it. It’s super unique and I love buying canvases that come off the wall like that as well. I believe this was on sale as well, so I purchased it for $4.49.

Dark Pumpkin Decor

falldecor9.jpg

falldecor10.jpg

At Michael’s they were offering so many of these little stacked pumpkins. I love how cute the little on on top is! I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this before on the blog but I absolutely love buying anything black, whether that’s clothing or decor! So these little pumpkins really spoke to me. I also really love how there’s a cut out in the back so you can put anything in it. I put some of my little fairy lights in the pumpkins so they glowed from the inside out. It was a nice little detail and really contrasted with the black. I might put a couple tea lights inside and see how that works. Candy would also be a great thing to put in here if you have friends over so they can steal a piece here and there. I’m almost positive this was $9.99, it could possibly by $8 (my receipt isn’t very clear which item is which, lol).

falldecor12.jpg

falldecor13.jpg

Continuing on with this dark pumpkin trend, I got a simple fake pumpkin. It’s nothing super special, but I thought it would look great somewhere in our living room or in my room. Michael’s had an assortment of different colors and sizes of fake pumpkins as well. There was this black color, orange, or a cream. So simple, yet so autumnal!

Skull Makeup Bowl

falldecor14.jpg

falldecor16.jpg

falldecor15.jpg

This is definitely one of my favorite things I purchased. It also came in a variety of colors including red and black. I loved the clear one simply because it matches my aesthetic and I like the simplicity of it. This could be used in so many different ways, for example holding fairy lights, candy or a candle but I love using it as a little makeup brush bowl. They fit perfectly inside and honestly I would use this year round. I’ve seen a lot of Halloween hauls on YouTube and this seems to be the item a lot of YouTubers are buying. And since it happened to be at Michael’s and was only $2.99 I thought I’d pick one up for myself!

Tea Lights

falldecor17.jpg

falldecor18.jpg

Tea lights were a little something I thought would be very useful for the season. They are non-scented so I will purely use them for their light. Again, I love how easy and simple they are while still bringing that nice mood lighting into any room. I thought I’d try and use these inside some of the items I bought too, assuming they won’t melt them or set them on fire! Autumn is definitely the time I use the most candles, so I’m glad I got these. A fairly large set of them was only $2.99, so if you’ve been looking for tea lights, try out Michael’s!

Orange Halloween Lights

Last but not least, I picked up some run of the mill Christmas lights in orange. I thought this will be great specifically for our living room. Orange is the epitome of fall for me, it’s just about the only season I ever use it, lol. They just seemed super fun, although the strand is pretty short so I would recommend getting two if you’re trying to cover a large area in your home. These were also only a few dollars I believe. I can’t wait to hang them up and celebrate the season!

That’s about all I have for you guys for this post, I really hope you liked everything! I don’t think I’ve ever decorated this much for fall, but I really enjoyed shopping and sharing everything. I know this post sounded like an ad for Michael’s but I honestly just loved all the deals they had! Almost all of them were 50% or 60% off which is seriously so good, especially for a college student wanting to be festive! Let me know down below in the comments which item was your favorite or if you have any questions! Look forward to more autumn posts to come! Until next time! xx
